The Celestine Prophecy By: James Redfield

It was 1996 when I was first drawn to this book. It was such a compelling read at the time that I have reread it four times now over the years just to enjoy the adventure all over again.

It is written as an extraordinary adventure story, however it is so much more. The wisdom and universal truths that are shared in this book are expertly interspersed into this compelling action story. Almost three decades later, I am reminded how brilliant James Redfield is to gently introduce ideas that were considered very radical at the time.

This book is a wonderful starting point to begin your own spiritual journey. Some will immediately feel or sense the universal truth of the story and others will take a little longer to digest what is being shared. Wherever you are on your spiritual path, The Celestine Prophecy offers some insight into how the Universe spiritually operates and how we can navigate through life using this wisdom.

As James Redfield wrote in his 20th Anniversary Edition preface (2014), “The Celestine Prophecy was and is impactful because it focuses on the “direct experiences” that give us the most evidence about the spiritual life.” It is this exact reason that I felt in 1996 and today, that this book is one of my favourite reads.
